Her work centers on helping organizations translate complex ideas into compelling narratives that inform, engage, and drive meaningful impact.
She holds a Master of Science in Communications and Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University–Central Texas, grounding her work in both analytical rigor and strong written communication. She began her career in broadcast journalism, where she developed a sharp eye for research, accuracy, and audience-focused storytelling, before transitioning into local government as a public information officer.
Across roles, Mikayla has built a reputation for bringing clarity to the complex—whether that means developing technical content, shaping strategic communications, or building trusted relationships with stakeholders. She is particularly passionate about creating opportunities that make a real-world difference and helping teams communicate their work in ways that resonate beyond the page.
At Long Capture, Mikayla works as a Proposal Writer, applying her strengths in research, technical writing, content development, strategic communication, and relationship building to work hands-on with client proposals, ensuring that each is properly written, edited, and checked for compliance.
