Client Journey

What Does It Look Like to Be A Full- Service Long Capture Client?

When designing our client experience, we recognize that this process is not one size fits all.

Because of this, we kept one question in mind: What factors drive success in the federal market?

When breaking it down, we found that this comes down to helping companies optimize three key areas:

  1. Developing an effective Go to Market Strategy
  2. Driving connections through extensive Business Development
  3. Coordinating and developing winning Proposals
Kickoff
01
First- Long Capture aims to  get a general understanding of your company and your goals.

Strategy

Shortly after signing to work with Long Capture, you will be assigned a Capture Strategist from our team of highly experienced acquisition experts. This person will be your key point of contact and will generate your strategy and regularly seek out opportunities to grow your funding.

Business Development

Our Business Development team will join your kick off meeting to assess your goals and tech for any capability gaps or upcoming opportunities.

Proposal

Around this time, our Proposal Team will send you an intensive 5-part questionnaire. This questionnaire will be a primary document for proposal development, so thorough answers are imperative.

Tech Demo
02
Next - we aim to get a clearer idea of your technology.

We schedule an hour-long tech demonstration where you will take us through the intricacies of your technology and capabilities to help us to understand how it can impact the warfighter.

Strategy

The Capture team’s goals of the tech demo is to:

  1. Develop a clear understanding of your technology
  2. Discuss your plans for future development of the technology
  3. Identify and prioritize other technologies you have that may have a compelling Department of Defense use case for future transition.

Business Development

From a BD perspective, the tech demo helps us to identify where your technology and solution fit into current defense needs. The information from this demo helps our team  know what types of funding/programs we need to target and how to best pitch the technology to the military.

Proposal
The Proposal Team will use the information from this demo as a reference when writing your proposals.

Road Map
03
3-6 weeks after your kickoff meeting, your Capture Strategist will present your strategy road map.

Strategy
Your Capture team will work diligently to craft and present your custom high-level plan based on your goals and tech capabilities presented in the previous two meetings.

Your Strategist will identify your “NORTH STAR,” or the big federal goal in line with your overall company goals, and showcase the “pathways” necessary to get you there.

Strategy Execution
04
At this point the goal is to put the roadmap into action.

Strategy

For our strategy team, there are a few key aspects of strategy execution:

  1. Bi-weekly Meetings to ensure all parties remain on track
  2. Research to remain vigilant on all decided, as well as potential project
  3. Outreach to necessary connections and signatures needed
  4. Discussion and demos refining to ensure all parties are prepared for any upcoming pitches or tech demos
  5. Project management to ensure that each project stays on track from Phase I to Phase III

Proposal

Each round the Proposal Team conducts a “proposal kick-off” to establish what needs to be done in order to submit a compliant, competitive, and compelling proposal.

From then until the round deadline, they will join on each bi-weekly, and will also schedule their own meetings with you for review and submissions.

Business Development

Our Capture Team works with our BD manager to research and remain vigilant on upcoming opportunities, organizations, and potential customers and end-users that we want to target from a BD perspective.

Six-month Review of Roadmap
05
Our Strategy is a living document that will continue to be updated as we connect with government stakeholders and learn more about their organizations and mission needs.

Strategy

Based on the feedback we receive over time, your Strategist will refresh portions of your Strategy every 6 months and walk you through what is working and where we need to pivot.  The aim is to ensure our goals meet your expectations, and we are taking advantage of opportunities that we come across since working with you.

There are no one-size fits all in this field. While Capture Strategy, Proposal, and Business Development are the three key components to a winning strategy, they may not all be the key components that you need.

Because of this, Long Capture’s sales team is dedicated to listening to you during the sales conversations to best understand what services you need, and how to best provide that for you.

Are you interested in learning what combination of these three services can best fit your company’s needs and goals?
